The secret lies in the 'b' to our name: many of our mouth-watering recipes have been created by Red Carnation founder Beatrice Tollman, a highly acclaimed chef before she evolved into the international hotelier of today. Led by popular manager Ian Powrie, our friendly bbar team are always ready with a smile and a quick, well-informed chat about today’s favourite drink or a new addition to our seasonal menu.

A much-loved Victoria landmark, we are perfectly located directly opposite Buckingham Palace and a few minutes stroll from the nearby theatres. Locals love us, too, for offering a truly relaxing retreat from the bustle of Victoria, while the Summer Terrace, set beneath our vast and verdant green wall, is washed by sunlight all day long in the warmer months.

From our South African Afternoon tea, known for its Amarula-infused scones, peri-peri chicken finger sandwiches and mini Bunny Chows, to our finest gastro burgers, daily-changing fish of the day and fully plant-based vegan options. We work with local suppliers and seasonal ingredients where possible, to ensure our menus stay fresh and interesting.

Shake it up with a “Currant Affairs” or cool off with a “Elder, Rose and Cucumber” G&T, the ultimate summertime refresher. Our expert mixologists can put their hands to just about anything – including our playful adult cream soda's – or impress with their innovative creations, accompanied by enjoyable tapas-style bites, such as moreish mac ‘n’ cheese balls, or spicy boerewors sausage rolls.
